Frosted Carob Peanut Butter Dog Cupcakes!

This past Wednesday marked one year for my sister having her dog. She decided to celebrate today. My sister couldn't decide how to make his cake...so I gave her some advice and together we came up with a carob/ peanut butter flavored cupcake. This dog cupcake has no added sugar (unless you count honey as sugar). As some dog treats have sugar in them, which I think isn't good for them (just like chocolate). And, we put a frosting on top we knew he'd love (beef flavored)
. :)  We had some cake batter left over so we used it to make two mini cupcakes which were pretty cute. In fact, if you're celebrating with more than one dog you could make all of them mini cupcakes which I think would turn out nice. Anyway, on to the recipe! :)

Frosted Carob Peanut Butter Dog Cupcakes

               Cake Mix:

               1 tsp. of carob powder

2 Tbl. organic or all natural peanut butter (I used Smucker's All Natural)

1 tsp. basil (this helps get rid of bad breath)

1/2 cup of Unbleached All Purpose Flour

6 Tbl. Unsweetened Almond Milk (I used Silk's)

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Place cupcake liners into muffin pan. Mix flour, basil, carob powder and peanut powder medium sized bowl. Add almond milk and water. Then, spoon into cupcake liners. Bake large cupcakes for 10-15 minutes or until done. Bake mini cupcakes for 5-10 minutes or until done.

                                 Frosting:

2 tsp. honey (I used local honey)

3 ounces (85 grams) All natural canned dog food

                            1 1/2 tsp. Unsweetened Almond Milk (I used Silk's)

Mix ingredients together in a small bowl. Frost cupcakes once cool. I tried frosting cupcakes with a piping bag..but that didn't turn out too well! :)

Jack enjoying his cupcakes. (of course we had to peel the wrapper off first)
