Avacado Face Mask
Avocados are great for your skin...both when put on the skin and eaten. They are absolutely wonderful for dry skin. Many say it has a moisturizing power! It's said to make your skin even more beautiful. In fact, eating about half of an avacado every other day can help lower cholesterol. Avacado oil itself has been used to heal the skin. Now, that you've heard how fabulous it is for your skin...why not make a face mask?

Simple Eggnog Recipe
I love eggnog! But, since I don't consume dairy anymore, I haven't drank eggnog. (since most eggnog recipes contain cream). I thought it was a shame that a lot of holiday deserts contain cream (well, the kind I usually ate did). Sometimes it can be hard to find a replacement for cream if the outcome for the recipe is supposed to be fluffy of whipped. But, when I saw this GREAT idea for using canned coconut milk, I thought "Why not? Sounds like a good idea!" By the way, it is a great time to be thinking about eggnog! :)

Yummy Cranberry Sauce!
I've never had cranberry sauce. In fact I've never known what people use it for during Thanksgiving. It never appealed to me because I thought people put it on their turkey or whatever. I didn't know. :) But, it wasn't until I asked someone that I found out. You simply eat it by itself (though some people do differently). When I started googling recipes for cranberry sauce and saw the pictures..it actually looked pretty appealing. Apart from the canned cranberry sauce. That just reminds me of beets. And not the yummy type of beets. Anyway, when I made this, I couldn't believe how good it tasted! You'll probably have a few of these ingredients on hand

Delicous Kettle Popcorn
My favorite popcorn ever has to be kettle corn! I love the taste of it..with just a little bit of sugar on top. It makes a a fantastic snack, too. The only problem is that I can't stop eating it! Not only is this a salt free snack but low fat too. And, did you know that studies have shown that popcorn may even help fight diseases! Just had to throw a little benefit in, too!

Tips On How To Keep From Overeating (especially during the holidays!)
People often end up overeating more during the holidays. And, by the end of the holiday season, there waistline has expanded. But, some people end up overeating not just from temptation, but stress. And, the foods people usually turn to when stressed are often processed, sugary and fatty. But, for those of you who get tempted during the holidays...well, that's a bite of a different story. And, I've included some useful tips to help you not to overeat.

Easily Make Your Own Glue!
Not only is this easy to make, but inexpensive, too. You probably already have the ingredients on hand. I didn't bother using organic flour for this because it's not like I will eat it, but if you prefer to, you can.
I've always wanted to make my own glue. I thought it would be pretty cool to personalize it by adding, glitter, etc. But, this time I made it plain, since I use white glue most often. To store the glue, you can keep it in an old glue bottle or any bottle that will be able to squeeze it out.. I stored mine in a mayonnaise bottle.

Apple Leather Strips
I love eating fruit roll ups and fruit leather. They're both deliciously good. But, my favorite flavor would be cherry and apple. Unlike some people, I will sometimes roll them up in a ball and pop them in my mouth. Anyway, I'd been meaning to make fruit leather for quite some time...and yesterday was just the right time to make them.

Say Yes To Local/Raw Honey!
There are a few reasons why local honey is the best way to go. More than 60 % of the honey in the U.S. is imported from other countries. To some of you this may not be surprising since just about everything you buy is probably imported. Most of the honey that's imported is from China. Though it may not be coming directly from there.

Interestingly Moist Pumpkin Muffins!
Once a week I go to a small group. When I go, I usually bring a snack. And today they asked us to bring a finger food/snack starting with the letter 'M'. I couldn't think of anything at the moment so I Googled it. Yes, it may seem weird, but I Googled it. And the first thing that popped up was muffins. That shouldn't be too hard. After all muffins are pretty simple/easy to make!

Spicy Pumpkin Latte!
Since pumpkins are everywhere now, I decided I should take this opportunity and post this recipe. First of all, I didn't think this would turn out to be a success at the beginning. Because I had forgotten pumpkins were stinky (except for some canned pumpkins) and when I smelled my canned pumpkin, I thought it was bad. I thought, 'Oh, no...this won't turn out right.

Frosted Carob Peanut Butter Dog Cupcakes!
This past Wednesday marked one year for my sister having her dog. She decided to celebrate today. My sister couldn't decide how to make his cake...so I gave her some advice and together we came up with a carob/ peanut butter flavored cupcake. This dog cupcake has no added sugar (unless you count honey as sugar). As some dog treats have sugar in them, which I think isn't good for them (just like chocolate). And, we put a frosting on top we knew he'd love (beef flavored)

Pretty and Pink Mascara (Video)
This is a very easy mascara to make! And, a wonderful alternative to regular mascara. It will really increase the length of you lashes. It's also quite cost efficient, too. Sometimes when you make your own mascara, they can be pricey. Or, you have to order them online. But, you should have most of these ingredients on hand! I made the beet powder myself..by slicing them, dehydrating, and then blending them finely in a coffee grinder.

Irresistible Peanut Butter Squares!
These peanut butter squares are so delicious that you may not want to share them! In fact, they're irresistibly good! In fact, I don't even like peanut butter unless it's with something else. You may even want to double the recipe. One of my favorite parts of making it is licking the bowl. :) They taste best when you warm them up, as they're more chewy that way...but even better when fresh out of the oven. Mmm!

Orange Coconut Cleanser
I love coconut oil! That's why I put it on my face every night before bed. I don't use too much. Just a little, so it doesn't make my face too oily. I live it on for a couple minutes or so and then I wash it off with cold water. I feel great afterwards. Coconut oil is great for you skin. It's also great for aging skin! Yes, you heard me right! It's even safe for babies and young children.

Homemade Play-Dough
This is a fun play dough that you can easily make with your kids. Although I did add food coloring to give it the color..I consider it better than store bought. If you aren't comfortable with putting regular food coloring in it, you can add natural food coloring which you can find at your local health food store (such as Whole Foods Market)

Why I eat Organic (and you should too!)
I love eating organic. As you may know, I'm different from some organic eaters. I do not eat soy, cheese, milk or anything in that catergory. I do eat meat though. (except for pork) Eating organic is not also good for you, but for the earth too! Organic food even delivers more

This Is About As Natural As You Can Get!
Warning: You may not want to read this if you're enjoying a meal.
Yesterday, we were at a museum of natural science...and, I bet you can't guess what they had going on! A bug cooking contest! Yes, I'm serious. There were three chefs and each one had to make a three course meal. An appetizer, main dish and dessert. All using bugs in it. The bugs they were using were Large worms, Scorpions, and Meal worms, plus other types of worms. There were also four judges. The judges had to try the dish and vote for which one they liked best. The audience also got to try the food, too.
Dairy Free Choc. And P.B. Ice Cream (Picture tutorial)
You will be surprised at how easy it is to make this ice cream! And how much it resembles (real) ice cream. I used bananas as the base ingredient for this ice cream since it has a thick consistency when blended. As some of you may know, I don't eat dairy (or soy)..so I was very

Okay, okay, it is a little early to be talking about things to do with pumpkins since it's not even Thanksgiving yet! But, I could eat this all year long and not just during the holidays! This is my 2nd attempt at making granola. The first attempt...well, let's just say it didn't turn out quite right. :D The 2nd attempt..well, that turned out great!
